Unreal Madrid’s 5’s team compete in the Saturday morning, division 1 at Powerleague (Paisley). This league is regarded as possibly the strongest, “competitive 5-a-side” league in Scotland.

Over the years, players like Davis (the cat), Lester, Tino, Colin, Ross, Stevie, Gordy, Gary P, Stuart M, Stu T, Derek, Jon (Iker), Malcolm, Gerry, Gary (Ronaldo), Eddie, Martin and Paul have all helped the cause, as Unreal rose from those early beginnings in division-8, to the very top of division-1. The team gradually developed to include numerous ex-pro and semi-pro players and as multi-time league champions and 3-times Lucozade Cup winners playing a unique brand of 5’s football, Unreal Madrid achieved a standing as one of the best 5-a-side teams in the country by 2002.

That same year the players finally met their match when the “Unreal” Scottish duffers met the Real Madrid players prior to their Champions League Final at Hampden Park, Glasgow. “Unreal” were presented with a Real Madrid team shirt signed by club Captain Fernando Hierro.
